In THE WORKS

Batch Space. London, 2025.

In the Works was a work-in-progress exhibition held at Batch Space, London, showcasing early-stage concepts and prototypes from Barrington and his cohort in the lead-up to their final degree show. The exhibition invited visitors into the design process, offering a behind-the-scenes look at ideas in development. With a strong focus on audience engagement, attendees were encouraged to interact with the work, provide feedback, and rate the prototypes on display. The show created an open dialogue between designers and the public, offering valuable insight into how the projects were received and how they might evolve. Barrington exhibited early iterations of his furniture pieces, using the opportunity to test form, function, and message with a live audience.

Men Should Issue 1, January 2025.

Men Should is a published magazine created by Barrington, exploring the pressures, contradictions, and expectations placed on masculinity. Through satire, personal reflection, and visual commentary, the magazine questions what men are told they should be, do, or desire—particularly within queer culture. The first edition was published and displayed as part of the In the Works exhibition at Batch Space, offering visitors a printed glimpse into the research and ideas behind Barrington’s broader project on masculinity and identity.
